Addressing the effect of oscillating electric fields on Stark profiles by computer simulations

Abstract Oscillating electric fields are present in many different kinds of plasmas and can modify the radiated line shape. An accurate characterization their effect is difficult since they act simultaneously with fluctuating microfield electrons ions. We propose to address these simultaneous effects by a computer simulation plasma particles motion coupled numerical integration Schrödinger equation. discuss here role ion dynamics on oscillating fields, situations which be investigated this approach: fixed or sampled field magnitude, direction randomly oriented field.
